PEOPLE & COMMUNITY

Different experiences.
A shared conversation.

The website is being developed for people who want to learn, ask useful questions and build respectful connections.

Workers & entrepreneurs

Budtenders, creative professionals, service providers, job seekers and small business owners can bring a practical perspective to the conversation. There is value in learning how another person works, what skills a role requires and which problems a business is trying to solve.

Patients & community voices

Patients, caregivers, veterans, older adults and advocates can bring lived experience to discussions about information and participation. This website aims to make its content readable, direct and useful for people with different levels of familiarity.

Make room for the next person

A welcoming conversation starts with introductions and plain language. Explain specialized terms, give another person time to finish and ask before photographing or recording them. People should be able to participate without disclosing personal health information or feeling pressured to buy something.

Connection with a purpose

You do not need a long pitch to meet someone. A useful introduction can be as simple as who you are, what interests you and what question brought you into the room. Our journal includes practical ideas for making those conversations easier.
